Coniveo and Forbo Flooring Polska jointly support Occupational Therapy Workshop

The Occupational Therapy Workshop of the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology is a facility that performs tasks in the field of social and vocational rehabilitation, which aims to improve the fitness of each participant, necessary to live as independently and actively as possible in the environment. The participants of the HCT are people who have a recognised degree of disability due to mental disorders and who have been qualified for rehabilitation in the form of occupational therapy.

Therapy through art also plays a very important role in the programme of activities conducted by the WTZ. Artistic expression helps to relieve internal tensions and get rid of unpleasant psychological discomfort. The works made during classes at the WTZ are presented at numerous exhibitions, and very often their creators win numerous distinctions.

There are 8 ateliers in the WTZ :

•     Weaving studio
•     Linocut studio
•     Ceramics and tailoring studio
•     Studio of various techniques
•     Woodwork workshop
•     Stained glass studio
•     Computer studio
•     Socio-professional activation workshop

Together with Forbo Flooring System we decided to support the activities of the WTZ and together we donated ready-made a4 marmoleum samples (without the Topshield2 layer), which are the ideal material for creating linocuts. Such samples are extremely soft and easy to work with.

We are delighted to have been able to help the staff and mentees together, and below are the WTZ studio and some sample works.
