The carpet tile
The carpet tile is a fragment of a carpet on a special underlay, consisting of many layers and materials. The carpet tile is one of the best flooring products. It is distinguished by very high durability, sound absorption and the ability to create complex patterns, which is impossible when using flooring in rolls. The tiles are available in squares; the most common dimensions are:
- 50cm x 50cm
- 61cm x 61cm
The carpet tile installation system deserves attention. They can be installed without glue or using a non-slip fluid (form of adhesive). In both cases, the tiles can be disassembled and reassembled at any time, e.g. if one fragment is contaminated.
It is not true that the use of such a floor covering is associated with the shredding of joints. Joints are more durable than in coverings in rolls, and this is due to the tile structure. The fibers are embedded in compressed PVC reinforced with fiberglass or bituminous mass, which prevents damage to the fleece. The only disadvantage is the high cost of purchase, but this translates into a much longer time of use. Therefore, the investment will definitely pay off.
