Why should we not install domestic carpets in the office?

The nice-to-touch and pleasing-to-the-eye carpet that we are happy to install in our living room is not always something that will work in our meeting room.

When furnishing a new office, or refurbishing one we have been working in for some time, we often suggest not only the look of the new equipment, but also its price. When choosing a carpet for our office, we cannot afford to let price be the deciding factor in the purchase.

Many customers, for the sake of a lower price than we get for office carpets, decide to install a so-called 'homemade' carpet in their office. However, it is worth remembering that this often turns out to be a false economy.  Why? Because home carpets are not designed to withstand as much traffic as that prevailing in offices. In addition, they are not abrasion resistant and therefore lose their resilience and colour very quickly under the pressure of shoes or office chair wheels. As a result, an office floor installed in an office needs to be replaced again after a year, because it no longer looks aesthetically pleasing. Not only does an office carpet give us many years of peace of mind from the stressful event of another refurbishment, but due to its properties, it also increases our safety and that of our employees.

Office coverings have the necessary approvals for anti-slip or flame retardancy, which ensure our safety not only on a daily basis, but also in extreme situations, such as a fire.

Just as you wouldn't go mountain climbing for hours in your beloved stilettos, you shouldn't install a home carpet in the office, which, as the name says, is designed for less combative tasks.
