When is the best time to install anti-slip tape?

As you know, it is autumn outside the windows, which unfortunately is not conducive to installing anti-slip tapes. How do you deal with taping on a rainy day?

On every package of branded tapes, there is an installation instruction, where you can read the sentence "in case of outdoor installation, the ambient temperature should exceed 10 degrees Celsius 7 days before and after installation". Obviously, this is an ideal installation and possible most of the time in summer. Unfortunately... many people only decide to buy tapes in autumn or winter, because it is only then that mishaps on slippery stairs occur.
Of course, there is always a risk of tape peeling off in such weather and this must be taken into account, regardless of the quality of the tape. When installing anti-slip tape, in the autumn season, it is important to ensure that the tape is not soaked for about 24 hours, because during this time it gains complete adhesion to the substrate.
In winter, on the other hand, when the temperature near the ground is below zero, it is best to use aluminium overlays, which are screwed to the surface of the step (example), or to call in an installation team that has special equipment for heating and drying the ground.

In conclusion, my advice is to make a quick decision on the purchase of anti-slip tapes while the temperature is positive, because later on it may already be too late.
