PVC carpet acrylation, an industry contraption

Acrylation, not only extends the life of our carpet, but significantly improves its appearance. We can say that the condition of the PVC floor covering after acrylation is almost factory-made. And, in addition, we do not use our material, we just walk on the applied coating.

Performing such a service is not easy. It requires experience and professional equipment and chemicals, the so-called strippers, i.e. agents for removing old coatings and cleaning the carpet, and polymers - the new protective coating. The removal of old coatings is done by machine. A suitable machine, the so-called Columbus, and pads, i.e. peeling discs, are needed. The pads come in different colours, which indicate their degree of hardness. They are selected according to the type of carpet and the degree of soiling. Coatings are applied in layers, ideally three, but no less than two. Using such a service guarantees us significant savings in cleaning costs and, most importantly, extends the life of our carpet.

 It is worth noting that there are agents which are resistant to alcohol, so they can be successfully used, for example, in health care.
