How do you clean woven vinyl?

Woven vinyl carpets are an extremely interesting flooring material. On the one hand they behave like PVC flooring, i.e. they are impervious to water, and on the other hand they have the appearance of carpet. They certainly give the interior an elegant and unique look. They are extremely resistant to use, but are they easy to care for?

Some people may have concerns about cleaning them. Why? Because woven vinyl is made up of vinyl threads tangled together, into which various dirt particles can penetrate. Well, cleaning woven vinyl will be very easy if you get a hoover with rotary brushes and possibly a dry/wet hoover.

Woven vinyl needs to be cleaned regularly, depending on the soiling and frequency of movement.

For daily care, it is best to use a hoover with upright rotary brushes. For wet cleaning, it is best to use a damp, not wet cloth. Any excess water or liquid is best removed with a microfibre. Care should be taken not to allow dirty water to dry into the fabric structure, as this can cause stains.

In periodic cleaning, it is not sufficient to use only a hoover. Depending on the volume of traffic, a professional water extraction machine should be used from time to time.

For roll carpet, rinse the floor with clean water and extract with a dry/wet hoover. For tiles, use a special machine that applies a small amount of water with two counter-rotating brushes and extracts the dissolved dirt at the same time.

For the resulting plan, use different detergents designed to remove dirt. Wet stains should be removed immediately. A sponge is recommended to remove excess liquid and avoid spreading. Dry stains should be dampened by spraying the detergent mixed with water. Then rinse the stain with warm water and remove excess dirty water with a wet/dry hoover.

Vinyl carpets can be disinfected with bleach, this does not adversely affect the fibre. However, remember never to use solvents such as acetone or pastes, as this can permanently damage the vinyl
